The latest report released by the World Metal Statistics Bureau (WBMS) shows that in April 2026, the global production of primary aluminum was 607.73 million tons, with consumption at 622.24 million tons, resulting in a supply shortage of 14.51 million tons; for the period from January to April, the global production of primary aluminum was 2417.32 million tons, with consumption at 2461.49 million tons, resulting in a supply shortage of 44.17 million tons. In April, the global production of bauxite was 2176.34 million tons, the production of alumina was 1225.78 million tons, and the production of recycled aluminum was 213.28 million tons; for the period from January to April, the global production of bauxite was 14257.25 million tons, the production of alumina was 4933.22 million tons, and the production of recycled aluminum was 857.07 million tons.
