Uzbekistan will build its first aluminum can manufacturing plant.

According to foreign media reports, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will invest in East Can Solutions, providing up to 18 million US dollars in financing and consulting support to establish the first aluminum can manufacturing plant in Uzbekistan.
The new factory is located in Tashkent and will provide fully recyclable packaging for beverage producers. This will help meet the growing domestic demand, expand local supply, and reduce reliance on imports. The annual production capacity of this factory will reach 1.1 billion cans.
Currently, the packaging industry in Uzbekistan is highly dependent on imports. Manufacturers are highly vulnerable to supply disruptions and price fluctuations. Developing domestic aluminum packaging production is regarded as a crucial step in enhancing economic resilience and optimizing business operations.
