Turkey issues final ruling on anti-dumping review of aluminum foil exports to China

On May 24, 2026, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2026/16, making a positive final ruling on the second sunset review of anti-dumping measures against aluminum foils with a thickness of ≤ 0.2 mm (in Turkish: kalınlığı 0,2mm yasaklanmayan, haddelenmiş fakat daha ileri bir işleme sahip alüminyumdan yapraklar ve şeritler) originating from China. The decision is to continue imposing an anti-dumping duty of 22% based on the cost, insurance and freight (CIF) price. The Turkish tariff codes for the involved products are 7607.11 and 7607.19. The measures will come into effect from the date of the announcement and will be valid for five years.
On December 21, 2013, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum foil originating from China. On July 26, 2014, Turkey made a positive final ruling on this case and began to impose an anti-dumping duty of 22% based on the cost of import. Subsequently, Turkey conducted a sunset review and made a positive ruling on January 4, 2020, extending the tax period. On December 12, 2024, Turkey initiated a second sunset review investigation into this case.
