On March 27, 2026, the European Commission issued a notice stating that in response to the application submitted by the EU industry association European Aluminium on December 19, 2025, it initiated the first sunset review investigation into aluminium profiles (Aluminium Extrusions) originating from China. The review examines whether, if the current anti-dumping measures are lifted, the dumping of the involved products and the damage they cause to the EU domestic industry will continue or recur. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) codes of the involved products are ex 7604 10 10, ex 7604 10 90, 7604 21 00, 7604 29 10, 7604 29 90, ex 7608 10 00, 7608 20 81, 7608 20 89, and ex 7610 90 90 (TARIC codes 7604 10 10 11, 7604 10 90 11, 7604 10 90 25, 7604 10 90 80, 7608 10 00 11, 7608 10 00 80, and 7610 90 90 10). The investigation period for the sunset review of dumping is from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, and the investigation period for industrial damage is from January 1, 2022 to the end of the dumping investigation period. Unless otherwise extended (up to a maximum of 3 months), the final ruling in this case will be made within 12 months.
On February 14, 2020, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum profiles originating from China. On March 30, 2021, the European Commission made a positive final ruling on the anti-dumping measures against aluminum profiles originating from China.
