Metro Mining is planning to expand the production capacity of its Bauxite Hills bauxite mining project in Queensland, targeting bauxite shipments of 6.5 million tonnes in 2026.
It is reported that in the third quarter of this year, Metro Mining achieved a record shipment volume of 2.3 million wet metric tonnes (WMT). Year-to-date shipments have reached 4.1 million WMT, primarily driven by a 6% increase in bauxite production in August, which resulted in monthly shipments of 753,101 WMT.
