It is reported that the aluminum premium price in Japan for the fourth quarter has been reduced by 22%.

According to Reuters, three sources directly involved in the quarterly pricing negotiations said on Friday that a global aluminum producer offered Japanese buyers that the premium for aluminum shipments from October to December would be $310 per metric ton, a decrease of 22% compared to the current quarter. Japan is the main importer of this light metal, and the premium it agrees to pay each quarter based on the LME spot price is regarded as the benchmark price in the region. In the July-September quarter, Japanese buyers agreed to pay a premium of $395 per ton, an increase of 12% to 13% compared to the previous quarter.
