Guinea and Australia maintain a leading position in bauxite exports

According to foreign media reports, in the first half of 2025, driven by the growth in demand from China and the stability of the supply chain, the export volume of bauxite from Guinea and Australia increased.
In the first half of 2025, Guinea exported 99.8 million tons of bauxite, a 36% increase from 73.4 million tons in the same period last year. The export revenue reached approximately 8.9 billion US dollars, among which the volume of bauxite exported to China accounted for about 60% of the total export volume.
In the first half of 2025, Australia exported 19.4 million tons of bauxite, an increase of 11% compared with 17.6 million tons in the same period last year. Benefiting from the strengthening of prices, its export revenue rose by 69% to 1.16 billion US dollars.
